Vassafor - Vassafor

This self titled album starts with a wind and runs over in a slow tempo black metal intro that gallops into a faster piece. These tempo changes will continue the whole MCD. Raw sounding in which the raw screaming is a bit in the background and where the buzz riffing guitars dominate. Drums are chopping the whole thing together but due to the raw recording they are not coming out too strong. In the 2nd song Vassafor is more aggressive and put a bit of doom into their sound. "Dreadnaught" starts with a female opera singer and continues into a slow doomy black track of 9 minutes. Closing song of this EP is a cover of Mercyful Fate that lacks the high screams of King Diamond but they added the doomy Vassafor touch. With the MCD Vassafor didn't convince me for the 100% so lets wait for their next stuff.
