Rebellion - The Clans Are Marching

Rebellion takes their heritage from German power metal (particularly the springboard Grave Digger) and combines it with a vocal style comparable to Manowar. This is a small EP before their album Arise – The History of Viking, part III. The most exciting part is the vocal interplay of the gruff Teutonic and the high melodic lines. The first song, ‘The Clans are Marching’ features a bagpipe, Arise has a healthy dose of righteous ‘la-la’ background vocals. ‘Ragnarök’ comes of a bit generic but the glitch is saved by a bit of power balladry in form of ‘My Blood in the Snow’.
