Nader Sadek - Living Flesh

Having a band, release a live CD (also coming on vinyl and with DVD or Blue Ray), succeeding their one and only full length, seems a bit too fast and hasty if you ask me! But this whole thing changes when the question goes to Nader Sadek. "Living Flesh" is the first ever show of Nader Sadek, and is self released on CD format, and presented as the band's 2nd and official 2013 release! For those who haven't heard about this band before, I have to say that this is a superband, that consists of Rune Eriksen (Aura Noir), Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy), Novy Nowak (ex Vader/Behemoth), Sean Frey, Steve Tucker (ex Morbid Angel), Carmen Simoes and the man himself Nader Sadek ! Great references don't you think? I believe that you understand now that this type of band is not a band people wanna listen in a studio so much (not that there's anything wrong with the studio release), but perform live!

It is a very interesting sight to see or in this occasion, listen to all these great musicians from all those acknowledged bands, to work together as a team and produce the brutality they recorded in studio, back on the stage. Those who melted their full length, will notice that the show's lineup has two xtra members, mr Sean Frey on lead guitar and mrs Carmen Simoes on backing vocals! This happened for the songs to have the proper atmosphere needed, but besides that the songs are slightly different than the ones on their full length! In this live show, Nader Sadek performed the songs, not only slightly faster, but they also extended their lengths so the audience would "sink into and absorb the relentless riffs" as they claim! If someone's first encounter with this band is "Living Flesh", what he will come up with, is well played death metal, fast and intense, with lots of black metal interleaves and a really darkened atmosphere! Definitely for the fans of Nile and Morbid Angel!

Now all of you who have already listened to their first full length, will find that the band reproduces flawlessly, all the songs on their CD (nothing less than that expected from musicians of such altitude), and I think that the extended versions, add a bit more atmosphere to the whole outcome of the live! Altering the songs from CD to live is a bit risky cos in my humble, personal opinion, it creates a 'love it or hate it' situation. Let's face it, some people like to listen the CD songs, intact, and others like experimentations! What needs to be straightened out to both sides is that the differences you will encounter here are almost untraceable! The songs are the same brutal songs you heard on the CD. Nader Sadek only seems to have messed around with speed, and length which only adds to the whole outcome if you ask me! The two new musicians couldn't be more INTO the band making this live show a proof that this band can perform live as cohesive and intact they do on the CD! The sound quality is extremely good, allowing everything to be heard, without being edited, giving the live feeling to the audience. You will feel as though you were there, and of course you will understand what it feels like to be under the influence of a band that knows how to manipulate people with its music. Everyone performs his best in this live act of November 20 of 2011, and that, along with the great songs, and the awesome xtra track drum solo from Flo Mounier makes this CD a must for all the fans of this band, and for all the xtremers in general!

Sink into their darkness fellows and have your proof on how a superband acts when on stage! Off I go!
