Hero Destroyed - Hero Destroyed

Having originally come together as Hero Destroyed in 2005 This self titled debut with Relaspse Records is the first big step for this US band hailing out from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. This album hits you straight in the face right off the bat with it's first track "Cause for Cancer" and doest let up until the end of the last track. This is a great album for those who love non stop brutality that is alittle out of control. Hero Destroyed term themselves according to their myspace page as metel/hardcore(other and yeah it is exactly this. You cannot say that this isnt a metal album and hardcore it is ..as for other well with the repeated off beats and unexpected yet unflowing change overs you get a hint of jazz reminisence here sore of metal hardcore jazz if you'd like. Honestly this isn't my cup of tea, metal/jazz with hint of rap/hiphop beats is not my thing. For all the flow cuts and unnatural mixes to me is just noise pollution. I just dont hear where this album comes together. Yes if alot of uncordinated noise is the goal with every band member trying to be more brutal and in your face more than the next then yes Hero Destroyed as achieved their goal with this self titled debute. I feel that a band should be tight and an album come together nicely no matter what they style and unfortunately I dont find any of this here. I know that some of you will disagree with me and that is fine and to be fair I give this album a 2/5 rating (I am being generous with this).
