Heavy Lord - Chained To The World
"Chained To The World" is the latest CD release of the Dutch band Heavy Lord. It follows their 2006 release "From Cosmos To Chaos" and continues the Heavy Lord style, sludge doom metal. The seven tracks are heavy down tuned doom tempo played songs. And that sludge comes back in to the guitars but they can also play riffs in a melodic style like Black Sabbath. The emphasis is on the guitars with their melody and dark rhythms. That they are capable of more instead of playing slow doom can be heard in the track "Darius II" where the use up tempo. But before they close the album with slow songs they go wild in the beginning of the last track.
"Chained To The World" is a good album with various interpertations and musical elements for the doom sludge fans.
