Zero Hour - Dark Deceiver

In 1993 the twins Jasun (guitars) and Troy (bass) Tipton (related to Glenn Tipton??) formed a band to create progressive metal. Now is progressive metal not my main metal genre but I won't shove it away. So don't know what to expect from Zero Hour as I never heard them before.
From the first song (already clocking 7 minutes plus) I was attracted to the songs. With a vocalist named Chris (ex Power Of Omens) who has a dynamic voice and also various style of singing it must be diverse. The drums and bass are solid and pushing the songs in a heavy direction but than comes the guitars. Jasun is really family of Glenn as he performes stunning work. Strange and unexpected riffs and impressive leads that twist and turn. The whole album is stunning and an impressive mix of complexity, furiously and technical skills.
On "Dark Deceiver" you hear so much happening that it keeps attractive eve after several spins. This is a must have for proggies but also for those who like quality metal!
