Thanks to the followings bands: Motorhead, Venom, Hirax, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Cryptic Slaughter, Nuclear Assault, Schizo, Incinerator, Voivod, Destruction, Carnivore, Sacrifice and Slayer. Born in 2001, only as a project by Tony Frenda (SS) (lead vocals/bass) and Giuseppe Peri (UR) (guitars/drum machine). In this way, after having auto-produced a demotape called "The Godz of the Atom’s Starz" in Feb. 2001 and having received a very good response from the public, with the definitive arrival of Salvatore Arrigo (H) (drums) this project has become a real band. In the Spring of 2001, The Krushers have produced another demotape, called "Rehearsal Tape 04/01" made of 4 pieces, in which a real string trio defines what will be the sound of the band. 06/01/2002 The band have produced ”1985”, on their third demotape, The Krushers present a well balanced mixture of Thrash and Grindcore, recorded live at “80 Studio”. 09/06/2002 The Krushers recorded “Megaloi Theoi” 8 Evil songs in early Black/Thrash Metal vein. I'm into the extreme metal scene since about 1988, my previous band are: Sufferage (death metal) - Thorns (death black) - In Gremio tenebrarum (symphonic black thrash) currently The Krushers are my only interest. What would you like to krush? All fuckin' shit(falsity- politic - ecc..) Why do you have those strange nicknames? And isn't the one of Tony a wrong reference? Ur is a name of ancient sumerian city and is a Runa (the ancient language of celtic gods) s.s. is an abbreviation of Shaitan Shet. You are influenced by great bands from the 80s. Wished you were born 10 years earlier? The 80s are the only way. Do you think there is a lack of bands like those great ones nowadays? Yes What are the 3 fav bands of the old days and your 3 nowadays? Schizo - Voivod - Slayer for the old days. Raw Power - Mortuary Drape - Denial of God nowadays. Do you only listen to thrash bands? Or also black, death, grind,etc? I listen only the good and real music. What does attract you in metal in general? Why not some italian opera? It's a lifestyle What is the metal capital in Italy? Is there a difference in the north or south? Milan is the metal capital. Why are the italians chaotic car drivers? Because they are fast and furious. You released some demos in tape. Why no Cds? The CDs are too cold. Are you in the trade circuit for demo tapes with other bands? Yes Did you used to be in contact by postal mail with other people? Yes Think internet is less exciting than sending lots of flyers by postal mail? Internet is good idea for fast correspondence. How are your gigs? Minimal equipment to create maximum noise? How is the stage performance? Annihilate the people. How do you want to see the crowd react? What will you do when people stay at the bar?
