Winterborn - Farewell To Saints

Spawned from Finland Winterborn was birthed in 2004, went through some slight line up changes in 2007+2008 and now stands strong consisting of 6 members: Teemu Koskela: vocals, Pasi Vapola: guitars & backing vocals, Jukka Hänninen: keyboards & backing vocals, Lauri Bexar: drums, Antti Hokkala: guitars, Pasi Kauppinen: bass. Creating music which is very much based in the realms of traditional heavy rock with a hint of modern metal also features hints of various styles and influences. "Farewell To Saints" is the second album under Winterborn's belt and with the many talented features presented here you can tell that it won't be the last album hailing from this 6 man outfit. I will be honest and state that this is not my style of music but to be faire I admit that I was able to get into it and appreciate where it is coming from. The tracks are very versitile and along with the harmonies create a very strong base and solid atmosphere. Alot of detailed work and creativitiy is shown here and this album definately stands out from the mundane. I would recommend this and especeally if you are already a fan of Winterborn's debut album you will for sure love Farewell To Saints. 3/5 is my suggested rating (:
