Winds Of Torment - Delighting In Relentless Ignorance
This is the debut album for Winds Of Torment, a band formed in 2001 in France. They recorded 1 demo in 2004 and they won in 2005 a contest which leaded to a label contract with Mascot Records. Recording in 2006 and releasing it 2007. Winds Of Torment plays hard and aggressive metal with a diverse scale of influences. Riffing remembers to Pantera and Fear Factorys drumsound. Or you can hear the influences of Opeth. Overall Winds Of Torment is playing technical and blending different styles together. It is nice to hear but afterwards I have a feeling hat it might be a bit too much. If you like your stuff really diverse and with references to other bands you can check this one out. This debut album is a nice step into the metal scene and we will see in the future if they can develop in something worthy.
