Verbum Verus - Melkiresha

Slowly slurping you into his infernal void of a mouth. Making your writhe with discomfort. Verbum Verus' debut release,"Melkiresha" creeps into you and then slithers out ever so easily.

The vocals stand out the most here. Not a convential screaming style and also going against the grain of the rhythm... in a good way. The spoken word and yelling vocals pair with the dissonance throughout the album to make you feel quite weary. The album starts off with a drawn out ten minute track,"The Fourth Kingdom" that your really unsure about when it's finished. The next four tracks although will spit you out in front of your dark master. All songs filled with dynamics of tempo changes. Driving riffs all the way down to scraping against concrete. Verbum Verus really achieves the ritualistic atmosphere. Even on the last track the singer is crying out to Satan. Somewhat creepy to realize this is not just simply great musicianship but also a serious veneration of Lucifer. Gritty yet crisp production will keep you on the edge the entire time.

If you enjoy that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of your stomach, then sit back and indulge in this unholy blasphemy.
