Tourettes - Treason Songs
Tourettesis a band from Australia and it hide a lot of aggression. Maybe it is because the female vocalist Michele and the guitarist and composer Ashley are dopted out at birth, who knows. Lyrically the band is dealing the angst of the disenfranchised, the ecstasy and exhilaration of teetering on the edge of greatness and the desperation of a life less traveled. Can you still follow?
Musically "Treason Songs" is a blend of modern metal, thrash and death metal. The band calls it schizo themsleves but that is a bit too much for me. There is variation in the melody and tempo but I don't hear anything weird. But for what I heard sounded standard and I was not blown away at all. I think the album will be forgotten within a month or so. But if you want to give them a chance you have to go to their site where you can listen to some other tracks.
