The Vocokesh - All This And Hieronymus Bosch

"All This And Hieronymus Bosch" by the Vocokesh is an eclectic blend of surf rock and psychedelic rock, featuring a wide variety of instrumentation. The band features great sounding fuzz and clean guitar with trippy fx, harmonica, tambo, sitar. It's all there.

Motifs are developed into themes and the themes are embellished and expanded upon, culminating in spaced-out jam sessions that draw comparison to Jimi Hendrix (although not as bluesy). Nothing fancy on percussion but a steady beat is maintained throughout.

The Vocokesh began in 1991 as the collaboration of guitarists Richard Franecki and John Helwig with Jan Schoeber on drums, and is named after Abe "Voco" Kesh, the producer of legendary psych rock band, Blue Cheer. This is the latest of a dozen or so CD's released by the band, and if you are a fan of shoegazer or jam bands, "All This And Hieronymus Bosch" is sure to please.
