Thanathron / Empheris - The Rituals Of Possession In Blasphemy
On this split release you hear two Polish bands. First to kick off is Thanathron and that band was formed in 2003. They play fast and angry black metal with some death metal touches. The seven songs are a bit of the same, fast and with little variation. All is sounding a bit primitive as in song structure and sound.
Empheris is the second and last band and I like them a bit better than Thanathron. Empheris are four guys that started the band in 2004 and already did a bunch of demos and split releases. Their main part is also fast but doing more with breaks and melody, also thir sound is much better. Listen to their Venom cover and imagine how that band could sound have. So for me Empheris is the winner of this split release.
