Sparzanza - Circle

Sparzanza are one of Sweden’s best metal bands. Started in 1996 and have since then toured all over the world and released several albums that have made success! If you want great metal you have come to the right place. This is Sparzanza, dark and heavy, yet still melodic and powerful! Enjoy!

Bradycardia
Is one of the most unusual beginnings ever with some creepy ambiance that is trickled out of the speakers alongside a thick drumming crusade? It holds some really urgent appeal.

Pine Barrens
A rambunctious mutant melee of riffs come splurging forth along with a hard but clean vocal edge. It ripples with melodic prowess and is a superb track, where by the guitar engages with its vibrant riffs that soon become a powerhouse.

Underneath My Skin
Is another mutant and strange track that has gripping qualities with its strengthening rhythms, gregarious mood and plenty of bite attached to it.

Breathe
Literally takes your breath away with its meaty rhythms that are really enchanting and gripping. There is also to be had a dark air of ambiance and pleasing vocals.

Into The Unknown
Like the sun has come out on a bleak day contrary to the lyrics. This slow ambling track is caked in a seductive quality and is a poetic run on the senses sending chills down your spine.

The Contract
Immerses with groove blistering exploration whereby the vocal really comes alive in a harsh and bruising tone! Along with the underlying swagger, which bristles with melodic harmony making it a brilliant track to feast on.

Enemy Of My Enemy
Imaginative track that holds plenty of bite with an up tempo encounter and a sonic array of riffs to compliment the inescapable vocal ravishing. The structure of the track literally stomps rhythmically to some antagonistic grooves.

One absolutely engaging twist of unpredictability. From soft ballads to overwhelming chunks of melodic and groove ridden structures.  It is a very ‘mature’ sounding album that will leave your head in a spin – not knowing what way it is going to turn next!

As I go away
A very dark and haunting track with poignant lyrics and background sounds adding to its ambiance. It’s a very expressive track sung in an emotive way that attracts the attention. The piano notes serve their purpose to make the listener engage in its melodic and dramatic potency.

Black
Is a super charged fiery and flamboyant prowl over the senses with a tidal wave of groove and rhythm and yet another nihilistic rampage of diversity which is highly engaging and has superb twists cloaked in haunting and harmonised flavours.

Death Don’t Spare No Lives
Fascinating and raw and the heaviest track on the album so far. Its corrupting anger flows venomously through its melodic toxicity and adding to its cavernous depths are some downright amazing vocal flexibility.

Do What Mast Thou Whilst
Is yet another track spawned from the melodic groves and enriching rhythms. Its terrain is ignited by sonic beatings and prowling vocal edge that flows seamlessly and overwhelms with relentless power and unarguably compelling! The twist is when it returns to its soft piano keys and fades out after a brawling rampage! – Superb!

Summary:
One absolutely engaging twist of unpredictability. From soft ballads to overwhelming chunks of melodic and groove ridden structures.  It is a very ‘mature’ sounding album that will leave your head in a spin – not knowing what way it is going to turn next!
Vocally athletic as they approach the tracks any way they damn well like and nobody is going to argue! It boasts everything from dark and ambient, rip roaring and rambunctious to soft and caressing and a lot more in-between courses to get your teeth into.
I cannot recommend this band, or indeed this album highly enough. It has focus, keeps you gripped with riveting passages and the only disappointment is when the final track fades out. Absolutely shell-shocked by its diversity. The album title ‘Circle’ can mean a lot of things but from start to finish that is where it puts you, ready to start the journey all over again – it is a never ending circle!
I would be hard pushed to choose a favourite track because they all offer something unique in their own little ‘circle’ but the two that are the most compelling - if I do have to choose are surprisingly enough ‘As I go away’ and ‘Death don’t spare no lives’ Two very diverse tracks that really showcase this phenomenal band to the fullest! However every single track oozes emotion and feeling – what more can I say? Nothing! Just go and check them out – they certainly do not disappoint on any level!

Simply stunning! Good old Sweden does it again!
