Siriun - In Chaos We Trust

Siriun was founded by guitarist/vocalist Alexandre Castellan in 2014 as a way to give life to his musical ideas, he decided that if he were to give his creation the power it needed he required the best. Enter world renowned drummer Kevin Talley (Six Feet Under, Daath, Feared, Suffocation, Devil Driver, Battle Cross, etc. alongside Castellan’s long-time friend Hugo Machado on bass, the power trio have succeeded in knocking out a quality Master-class in forward thinking extremity!

Mass Control
The complexities of this track hold no bounds what so ever! The twists and turns blend with a scorching vocal tirade of pure unadulterated madness! The textures are harsh and compelling and quickly consume with no effort at all on the listeners part! Has to be flavoured to be savoured!!

Infected
Offers a stupendous progressive feel about it as the guitars hit with a vibrant emotion that is quickly followed by low toned growls and top notch screeches that really cement an imaginative bond with the listener. Really raucous and unstoppable hosting mesmerising blast beats and sonic bass hooks courtesy of Hugo Machado, is a true adventure.

Spread Of Hate
The agile voice of Alexandre makes your ears melt in this savage attack that is capable of further assault on the ear drums as it is polished with barbed intent! Bolstered with rugged aggression it ticks all the boxes and is again very involved! If you weren’t fearful before the track you will be after it! As its turbulent manner is a tempestuous journey of pure hate with heaps of speed!

Cosmogenesis
Inflamed with a more tempered rhythm this track offers a respite for the ears with up lifting strings that just simply allure with melodic suggestion and the only instrumental track on the album.

“Its volatile nature is sure to get the blood racing and then to boiling point as these tracks are sculptured to incorporate riveting facets and deep imaginative passages that you won’t want to end!”

In Chaos We Trust
The mood and tone suggests a dark ambient incitement for exploiting the senses as it magically blends together in a sea of strings and bold beats, however, not far from the damning vocal seething it laps up attention and rhythmically fuels with an agitated glory.

Transmutation
Boiling over the rim of this mighty structure is the 6th track that bristles under its flexible skin to produce a fuel infested inventiveness that cultivates a thrashing madness. Steeped in pure bred hunger, it is all consuming and roars powerfully to a strict beat by Kevin Talley that shows its presence and showing no mercy as it goes!

Intent
Another chance for the light and flexible nimble fingers of guitarist Alexandre to shine as a reign of terror is exacted on the ear drums in a brutal force of extreme intensity! This all rounded track more than makes you aware of its magnetic brutality and entices with a tremendous seductive quality.

Becoming Aware
This track pulverises and will melt the skin off your face with increasing effect as the riffs and beats gain in momentum, scratching and deepening the wounds as it tears through its dynamic thrash-tastic structure. It erupts more powerfully than an active volcano and sure to leave devastation in its wake!

Summary:
Each track on this album broods with malicious intent to ravage and assault! Even the instrumental track has its moments that keep you upright in your chair and feasting on its contents. It is a gripping encounter that has you reaching for the repeat button! The message it portrays is nothing but brutality although the progressive feel does show itself on a few occasions, and has a slightly more calming effect but not too much to get complacent, so a really good balance of sound.

The use of acoustic guitars as well as screaming electric ones, the album is multi-faceted and reveals various sides, so you get an all-round listening experience and the band have put more than ‘just a bit’ of effort into each track and it shows in abundance! The vocals are just stunning! The deep seated growls and high pitched screeches are just irresistible. The thickly textured threads of each track brood with malice and twist in various directions so it is an intriguing listen for sure. Its volatile nature is sure to get the blood racing and then to boiling point as these tracks are sculptured to incorporate riveting facets and deep imaginative passages that you won’t want to end.
