Sin Of Kain - The End

Hailing from the Budapest area, Hungary, Sin Of Kain present us the re-release of their “The End” full length album which originally came to life in 2006. To be honest: I never heard of this band before, but I´m really surprised. These guys definitely know their business and create cool songs with complex and progressive arrangements. Sin Of Kain´s main direction is Death Metal with lyrics about negativity, anti-christianity and death in various forms. A few blackened riffs contribute their part to this credible offering. The band added some unpredictable stuff like atmospheric keyboard passages or accoustic parts to “The End”, so be sure there is a lot to discover. There´s only one flaw: the production. It´s too sterile, too clinical and simply to artificial (especially the drum triggers). Next time a more powerful production for a more organic sounding general impression. Nevertheless the songs are great and fans of progressive Death Metal should give Sin Of Kain a try.
