Severe Torture - Sworn Vengeance
This is the latest album of one best death metal bands from the Netherlands. The band started as just one of those brutal as fuck death metal bands with the unrelentless hammering, gurgling, blasting on their "Baptized" release. But as one gets older they also got wiser and develop themselves. And this is just what Severe Torture has done. With their 2006 release "Fall Of The Despise" they set a slight step but on "Sworn Vengeance" they band sets a new way. Forget the rehearsal attitude because this is the shite. It is just very brutal but the band plays way better and with much diversity. Beside the double bass drum blast you also get heart pumping bass and vocals are also sounding more mature and diverse. Also the dual guitars with the solos are top. This is obligatory to have.
Funny detail is that the press stattement on the back of the promo is saying that the band is detonate their new opus, expelling any notions of haircut pretenders taking over the throne. But did you see the new haircut of the voclist, whaahhhww.
