Sevenyearsdead - To The Ruin Of All
Originally formed in 2001 but it took some time that the band was steady. Before they recorded this debut album they already released 3 demos by themselves. In September 2007 the album was released and containing 12 tunes in a blend of power and heavy metal. Clean vocalstyle with 2 back up vocals, heavy guitar riffing and power bass drumming. Sevenyearsdead try to make their songs not only tight but also give them a groove. Themselves mention influences of Slipknot, Pantera and Machinehead and that contains a bit of the truth. I wouldn't compare them to the last 2 mention if you talk about intensity or aggression. Maybe in the softer tunes and melody lines but what I hear on this debut is nothing new to me. If find it a bit lame and should be far better to ruin me.
