Seraphim Slaughter - Scum Terror
This Seraphim Slaughter claims to be the real one and not those from Canada. This Seraphim Slaughter hails from Secaucus in the state of New Jersey. "Scum Terror" is their album with the painted cover and 10 tracks. Seraphim Slaughter is not going for the first prize in the beauty contest but trying to bring you some ruff and filthy piece of metal. A bit of a crossover of thrash, speed and death metal with harsh screaming vocals. Tempo is in the fifth gear although in the title track the band opens with a two minute dwelling mid paced intro before hacking around and ending again with the mid paced. Maybe this is the strongest song on the album. The minus points on the album for me are the vocals as they get annoying the longer you listen, he is doing too little varation with it. Also the lack of guitarleads as I think it would add some extra dimension and gives a good reference to the thrash and speed influences. But maybe they are not looking for that and just hate all of us, the fucking scum.
