S.S.S. - Short Sharp Shock
Relatively young band these Liverpool based crossover band. Their band name is a bit controvercial as it reminds of the German SS during WWII. On the cover of the album they used other letters but their logo is originally the hooked S. Anyway the band released their debut and containing 15 tracks of crossover. Combining thrash, hardcore and punk of the 80's in short and exploding songs. Raw vocals that can scream like Tom Arya and more narrating than singing, sharp hooked riffs with some leads and thrashy drums. Fast and mid tempo tracks. The last track is a bonus song on this Earache release, as it is already release in 2006 on the Dead And Gone label, and a tribute to Cliff Burton. Enjoyable short album with sharp tunes and a shock attitude.
