Riul Doamnei - Aporcyphal

Riul Doamnei is a symphonic black metal band from Italy and formed in 1999. Here in 2007 they release their debut "Apocryphal" on the French label Deadsun Records. On this album you hear 11 tracks that range form symphonic with prominent keys or the hammering blasts. The vocalist has a variable voice and goes from low to high. The long tracks have enough melody and changable passages to keep your attention. The only problem could be that the Dimmu and Cradle influences are there. But you are not listening to a copy cat as the tunes are well strucutered and well performed. The album start with the intro "Rev. 9:01" and half way you get the interlude "Haeretic" as a rest point to get full ahead afterward. "Apocryphal" is a nice and pleasant album although it is not inventing something new in the black metal scene.
