Who’s Your Jesus?
Reaching out of the fiery passion this track possesses a hard edged bruising and has a ravenous appetite for solid rock in its purest form. The plinking contagious strings add a light airy feel amid the ambient sounds that accompany them and then the fire begins with huge rolling waves of rhythms and precision drumming. The vocals are sturdy and bode well carrying the track to overwhelming heights.
Rage You Know
More tempestuous rhythms persist with a chant like vocal surrounded by some compelling deep riffs and demanding beats that are superbly wrapped in sonic melodies. The whole swagger of this track burns with a blending passion of highly skilled musicianship and in turn brings compulsive listening.
Guidance
A deep rumbling starts and then is over taken with a powerhouse of sound that holds amazing melody. The swelling rhythms seduce and tease to perfection. The track is perpetually twisting and entwines itself around an anthemic buzz of hungry intense riffs.
Broken Nails & Bloody Fingers
Great name for a track! Not as ferocious as it sounds though and offers a slightly more down tempo feel that produces some superb harmonies. It still holds a certain compelling structure of infused tempting rhythms that carry the track to greater heights and gives the listener something to mull over.
Dead Behind The Eyes
Pummelling drums and ravenous guitar all encased in caressing sumptuous melodies. The sway of tempting rhythms really blend effortlessly into a solid mix of superb and powerful textures that really delight the listener and keep the hunger fed.
We’ll Bring You Down
A dramatic opening to this track! It contains a good strong drum beat that is precisioned and employs great harmonic qualities. The vocal has edge and is surrounded by a mesmerising riffing that lifts the track to its peak of perfection.
Break The Silence
Great diversity is shown here with heaps of ambiance as it unwinds into a dark weave of alternating blackness that in turn bursts open like a festering wound. It breeds a lot of promise with emotive elements of melodically infused rhythm and fret-bites coupled with a superb bass hook that ravages the aural.
The Uprising
This track stirs the dust somewhat with its building rhythmic swagger and melodic stance. Particularly noteworthy are the aggressive vocals that intermingle with great harmonies. The powerful cheeky teasing of riffs adds to the depth of the track nicely and brews a good storm of simmering intent – one good listen!
Choices
Scorches with a blaze of passionate riffs that infuse with its own inflammatory rhythms and is perfectly balanced with copious amounts of jaw dropping beats in such a distinct way. The infectious riffage soars to tremendous heights and makes for a very varied listen.
The Sinking Ship
A more classic feel with a burst of melodic haze that offers sultry strings and moody bass. The vocals explore new horizons on this track and lay across the soft and definitively tuned ambiance of hypnotic blends. Heavier riffs can be experienced throughout and again it shows superb diversity from Riot: Noise
Save This
Respite followed by a rip roaring pummelling of drum beats with the guitar sitting in the background and offering its tuneful prowess. Perfectly balanced to perfection once more and awash with a swathe of rhythmic quality that seduces and lures the listener into its euphoric textures of gnarly riffs and strong bass hooks.
Smiles Fade Behind
A more ambient flavour opens this track with a distortion on guitar and a muffled beat – it then springs into the light and shimmers in all its glory of mesmerising rhythmic stance. It absorbs with a certain rich potency of swagger that you can’t ignore.
From start to finish this album is 100% quality rock. It shows great skill and musicianship with building riffs and a torrent of thickening rhythms that smoulder with intent. The huge generous melodic tendencies of the album linger on the tongue and leave you breathless. Compelling and quirky in places, it houses elegance, sophistication, balance and harmonies to die for! Insatiable and sultry but more often than not, totally riotous on sound that in turn can only lead to the band gaining more recognition and highlights their true potential. Long after the CD finishes you can still return to it in your head and savour it with relish.
I really cannot fault this album what so ever! You don’t need to be coaxed into loving this - that will happen automatically on pressing play – which draws you to the conclusion that you must in turn press repeat!
