Purification Kommando - Nuklear Ritual

This is primitive Danish black/death and was originally released in 2011. There is a certain society, a certain scene for this style of music which finds this lo fi sound rather revering. I like the style, I like the vocals, I don’t care for the production. It’s rather muddy and difficult to define certain sections of tracks, such as on ‘Dawn of the Nuklear Holocaust’, in which I find a shame because this doesn’t represent the music as it should in this day and age. But that’s not what this band was about.

However, if you want to get your necro blasphemy topped up then something like ‘Attack of the Goat Legion’ will satisfy this craving. There is some furious drumming and massively distorted guitars to contend with, similar to many current war and Satan heralding artists, although Purification Kommando’s stance is in fact authentic and they play the necessary evil underground sounds popular around the globe. Fellow countrymen Sadogoat are acknowledged on ‘Age of the Golden Goat’ which tends to match the style of PK’s own sound and the whole release tends to follow the same formula. The band has a more recent EP out called ‘Radiation Sickness (A Cure for Mankind)’ that will probably is more representative of the latest material recorded with better production.

This is a nasty, low quality recording that have a certain evil aura emanating around it, this is pure underground and does not have a hope in hell of ever becoming mainstream, something fans will no doubt relish. ‘Nuklear Ritual’ sounds completely underground with all necessary tick boxes checked for a scene of this nature. If the casual listener were to pick this up then you would probably be disappointed and I feel this recording, artist and attitude is solely something for the die-hard’s alone.
