Nycticorax - Umbra Mortis
There is a movie called "From Russia With Love" but i don't think they sing about love. Maybe a love for the dark and evil side of life but I don't know as the lyrics are in their native tongue. Nycticorax is a black metal band from Lativa that is playing the traditional way. Influenced by heavy metal and bands like Mayhem and Bathory they try to add some national elements. Tempo of the songs are fast although bridges are build in. The sound is oke and no basement recording, no femal vocals, no keys and no choirs. But the songs are played on safe. They never go real extreme and with almost 60 minutes it might loose tension. But this album is from 2004 and maybe with the extra guitarplayer they might explode in 2006.
