Morgue Supplier - The End Of The World
Morgue SupplierĀ hail from Chicago in the United States, sick sick band mixing up a whole lot of brutality. If you like your brutality raw and sick, this is a band you need to hear.
What we have here is roughly eight or so minutes of (just about) controlled chaos. This is an EP and kicks off with Fuck You Note and it literally grabs you by the throat, nails you to the wall and squeezes the life out of you and just as you get over that the title track arrives and picks up where the first track left off - a whirlwind of deathgrind. Surgery is the final track and this slows up in parts and is in contrast to the speed of the first two tracks and in part there is even a thrash riff or two.
The musicianship on display here is stellar. The drumming is flawless beginning to end never missing a beat at inhuman speed but at the same time we have dynamics in spades with efortless transitions in speed. Guitars are a mixture of death, grind and thrash perfectly executed with the bass locked in tight with the drums. Paul's vocals again are inhuman spanning the spectrum of sounds from high to low but again it is the amosphere he creates - on the edge all the time always to the very limit.
The production serves only to add to the experience here. You can hear everything separately but at the same time because the band never deviate from their vision - each note is aiming at the same thing and this makes this EP lethal. Handle with care as it will come at you swinging.
