Monument Of Misanthropy - Anger

These three monsters of death metal being Romain, George and JP founded Monument of Misanthropy in 2012 and have channelled so much time, energy and not to mention anger into making this album a full on metal onslaught of delicious and relentless madness.

Financing this brutal melee the band decided to start a Crowd-Funding Campaign offering signed albums and T Shirts into the bargain – their target was more than reached, in fact it surpassed its 4,000 euro target.

Starting off with a sweet little intro of bells you know from experience that the G-force is gonna hit pretty hard so don’t excel with volume at least not until your ears have grown accustomed to it, or pain will occur.

Festering under the surface, and here it comes with a magnitude of kick beats the steady onslaught of ferocious predominant power and a surging vocal this will kick a few asses! Entering a new state is sturdy and relentless in delivery, in mocking form vocally savage and hateful it splinters with aggression.

Malformation rages among a fiery and ferocious guitar that kicks in at intervals and explodes with fire and brimstone. Vegan Homicide is just as nasty as the cover portrayed on the album, it snakes into a wild turmoil of vengeance whilst the audio will inject a venom there is no known cure for.

Monument of Misanthropy the title track is quite an eye opener offering some eye brow raising samples amid gruelling screams until it truly kicks off and singes more than just the raised eye brows.

“This is one heck of an album. It’s one you can listen to at any time, no matter what mood you are in – if you are calm however, it will stir emotions you never thought possible and if you are angry - well be prepared to punch a few walls and stick your head through a pane of glass”

Bring me the head of LGG – kicks senselessly at the brain and strips the listener of what they know to be reality. Harsh, cruel and deliciously engaging. Carnal Offering is a muscular battering of deep guttural growls and high pitched screams – these guys are not human!

Retarded Phrase Mongers a staggering amount of kicks are needed to maintain the constant rhythms attached to this track – Romain is an octopus I think! The heavy guitar riffs plows through some momentous grooves with hard bass hooks whilst the vocals are like a wind tunnel of infused hate.

Finishing with Flag Of Hate a Kreator cover. Monument of Misanthropy turn this into a much more rounded sound as the original one seems a bit flat after listening to this version. But the vocals are much more delightful here – in my humble opinion, of course, I know there may be some who disagree, but who cares?

To Sum up:

This is one heck of an album. It’s one you can listen to at any time, no matter what mood you are in – if you are calm however, it will stir emotions you never thought possible and if you are angry - well be prepared to punch a few walls and stick your head through a pane of glass.

There is a lot going on within this little disc, too much to get your head around on first listening, so it will warrant a few more plays to fully engage in all its devilry and fine musicianship.

Live this band would blow everyone out of the water! The G-Force is immense just on listening so live be prepared for utter chaos!

For me it is all to do with the vocal accompaniment – those harsh unmerciful screams and deep guttural growls fuel my fire to one of complete and deep satisfaction.

These guys have got it right – they have covered all angles and produced a killer album that delivers on all levels. Its seamless riffs protrude, its beats are hellish and its vocals pervade the senses like a red hot poker to the eye.

Now if you don’t mind I am going to crank this up to 12 (ears are now well accustomed) and stick the headphones on for a few hours... and maybe go punch a few walls!
