Moker - Home Invader

From Belgium comes Moker with their fourth album "Home Invader". Formed in 2003, they are veterans in the scene and have participated in many festivals and it is three years ago they released their third album "Satan's Den".

"Home Invader" is a nine tracks set of very good brutal death metal in the vein of their compatriots Aborted, or americans Dying Fetus (without ultratechnical parts) or Misery Index. We are talking about powerfull riffs with a demolition drumming, fast bass drums and blastbeats, very good and hard lines of bass guitar, and aggressive and brutal voices. They have all the ingredients for a perfect album filled with brutal death metal, and of course they have got it, with some touches of deathcore and hardcore, and some slamming parts, in the vein of Dying Fetus not Devourment).

The intro is a good warm up for what is upcoming 'Emergency Call', next 'Break And Enter' shows how it will be on this album, brutal, fast, aggressive, without prisioners. 'Schizoaffective Disorder', in the same line, 'Held Hostage', reminds me of Misery Index. 'Code: 417' with some insane voices, good, and a deathcore part too, that ends softly.

'Hate Speech', in the line of the album, very rhythmical, non stop headbanging, for sure. 'Throat Snatcher' with a solo in the style of master James  Murphy, and of course a brutal drumming and riffing guitar and bass. 'The Act Of Lacerating' in the line of all, also a good solo for the end. 'Police Forensic Investigation', a perfect end for this good album, fast, brutal, another example of how to play brutal death metal perfectly.

The sound of the album is clear, hard, and all instruments are presents and sharp. A very good talented band which deliver a fine album.
