Mithras - Behind The Shadows Lie Madness
It took four years for Mithras dared to release a new album. "Forever Advancing Legions" was compared by me with Nile, Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal and I still do. Don't get me wrong, they don't copy those bands but share the innovative brutality. Mithras is a duo and they play fast brutal death metal with original twists. Psychedelic and creative riffs that shred against your normal thought patterns with great leads. Double bass drum blasts and growling voices that put your face to the concrete but then the guitar shreds back in action and you're floating away again. Without hestitation I think this is one of the better albums this year! Death metal freaks who like adventure: grab it!
