Master - Master / On The Seventh Day God Created....Master
Displeased Records is re-releasing two classic death metal albums at the same time. Why do they re-releasing the albums who are from 1990 and 1992? First reason that they were out of print and the second one, the more important one, is to include a DVD with live footage. The "Master" album is now put on disc from the original mastertapes. In the final mix the drums were overtriggered and some solos were left out. All this has been corrected. "On The Seventh Day" is just remastered.
The audio discs are mandatory for every death metal fan as it marks the birth of an influencial band in the extreme scene. Raw sound with dito vocals, distorted tone guitars with leads in short and fast tracks. The songs are short, groovy with a polka beating drums and double bass trips.
For the video on the first disc you will see gigs filmed in Holland and germany in December 1990. The footage is old and maybe not the best quality but who gives a fuck? All filmed with just one camera and Dolby 5.1 wasn't even evented. But it is all about the vibe you get and you wished you were there! The video on "On The Seventh Day" are two gigs in Holland, one in 1992 and the other 1993. Also filmed with one camera but with a bit better quality. And you can see Paul without a beard in 1992 and one year later it has grown!
Both releases are worth the buying as they make sence the 100%.
