Mass Infection - Atonement For iniquity
Mass Infection is a band hailing from Greece and was formed in 2003. Two demos later the band is signed to Black Edge Records from Austria and ready to release their debut full length. Without a listen you know exactly what to expect when seeing the artwork and read the titles with its lyrics.
The artillery on the front is not causing mass infection but mass destruction! Expect no fancy melodic lullabies but straight edge riffing death metal. Monotonous growling vocals (which can use some variation), simple but effective riffs that are changeable in the rhythm structures but lack the destroying leads. Drums are on the rapids with thrashy elements. Listening this a couple of times it simple hammers you down, it has power, it is fast and it pounds. All the intensity overrules the non progressive and melodic patterns.
