Martyrium - Withering In Voluptuous Embrace

Martyrium is the leading black metal band from Malta. Working on new material, this album is from 2002 but still actual. Their style of black metal is enriched by symphonic, enchanting and atmospheric elements. Raw male vocals with a backup of clean female voices. Keyboard spheres and compelling guitars. Tempo in the long songs are mainly in the uptempo section but with lots of breaks and changes. The missing element on this album the pauses between the intro and the first song and the other pauses between the songs. Most of them are beginning with a short intro and it would be nice to had them right after the end of the previous song. Like you listening to one song, but that is my opinion. But it is a nice album and that counts!

1. Insanity dancing with crimson tides
2. The ebon river princess
3. Chrysanthemum
4. Eden (the divine entrap)
5. The hatred cornucopia
6. Restrained in demuric gyves
7. Promises
8. Tears from the demented heart
