Malebolgia - Requiem For The Inexorable

Damn… These guys from North Carolina simply blew me away. Founded back in 2000 Malebolgia released an EP, a demo and 3-Way Split CD so far. “Requiem For The Inexorable” is their very first full length album and contains nothing else than amazing brutal Death Metal. The songs are technical as fuck, full of dissonant tunes and as far as the drumwork is concerned: unbelievable! Neverending blast beats turn into extensive double bass monsters always far above the rest. This guy must have arms and legs made of steel… The band only allows very few chances to take a breath before the next hyperspeed blasts hit you right were it hurts. The vocals offer the typical growling as well as some Hardcore-ish shouts and screams. The production is really good and contributes its part to this awesome CD. After 11 songs of pure shredding, “Cock Rockin´ Fever” is a real surprise because of its Hardrock flair and the AC/DC / Rose Tattoo-like vocals. I doubt this song should be taken too serious, but it´s a nice and funny idea to close this full length album and shows Malebolgias versatility. Check “Requiem For The Inexorable” out if you like Hate Eternal or Cryptopsy.
