Malas - Conquest
This debut album by Chicago's death thrasher Malas was released in 2005, five years after they started. The bandmembers have long running commitment to the metal scene as they played in Maldicion, Severed or Lord Blasphemer. The band is combining death metal with thrash metal resulting in 10 aggressive tracks. Growling vocals in up tempo songs with thrashy rhythmed drums. Guitars are running thick riffs of melody and also pouring out nice leads. Overall the album is a nice piece of work for fans of thrashy death metal as it hides memories back to the old thrash days but in a modern and aggressive jacket.
