Lo-Ruhamah - Lo-Ruhamah

Lo-ruhamah is the name of the first daughter of the prophet Hosea and his wife Gomer in the Book of Hosea (1:6-8) of the Tanakh. The name, which translates as "not pitied", is chosen by God as a sign of displeasure with the people of Israel for following other gods. So now you know the meaning of the bandname but what do they sound like? The band plays black metal with elements of folk and postmodern rock. Tempo varies from mid to fast tempo and they even play quiet and soft parts. Musically it is not bad with the melodies and sphere changes although the high scream vocals are getting on my nerves after a while. Glad they do some grunting style as a sidekick. But this is their first EP and their debut full length should be ready any moment. Surely a band to keep an eye on.
