Dismembered Carnage - Blasphemed Betrayal
Dismembered Carnage have self released their second album "Blasphemed Betrayal", a journey to old school of Florida 90s with some touches of darkness and unholy spirit. Formed in Concord, California, in 2012, they have released a previous album and an EP. On this album the same infamous idea but with better sound and evolution. Maybe the first band you will remind when listen to Dismembered Carnage is Deicide or Vital Remains. It is obvious the influence, but I would say that they are walking in the same paths, and demand same ways to play, (who is not influenced?). Specially in the use of voices, and of course some riffs.
The blasphemy begins with 'As Jesus Burns' a great opening to this album, a fast track full of wrath in continuous tension.
'Denial Of Christ' a not so violent start, with an initial solo to welcome this rhythmic piece styled Deicide, with some slow and dense part.
'Your Lord Dismembered' starts fast and violent, with blast beats, this band knows how to transmit hate and wrath in their compositions, with some good melodic solos and rhythmic palm muting riffs. 'The Unholy Crucifixion' the old school is very present in this one, riff and double bass drumming in the same step. 'Pastor Of Disease' chunky riff, and close to Deicide style, with melodic solo, good work with drums. 'Devour In The Tomb' only 1:55 to this one, enough to show the evil inside it.
'Fester In The Grave' a good sample of old school, in half a part that changes a bit everything and a slow different riff to finish
'Rape The Priest' chunky riff in the middle a slow part, and again the first riff (similar to some listened in Dying Fetus)
'Morbid Molestation' slow and dense death metal in this beginning, added some hard riffs, and in the middle the chaos impregnate everything with a fast and raged part and back to slow. 'Into The Eternal Underworld' in the line of all album, within the general style of the band, old school, good riffs, fast parts and the use of two voices, very good use.
Ok, this has finished and I have to say that is a good album, good sound, good musicians and compositions. Some ups and downs, but in general a worthy work, one to aim in your head to discover a good band.
