Dimensional Psychosis - Magical Matrix Of Dimensional Continuum
Very inventive, great sci-fi themed album with the dimensional gateways and devouring your consciousness and all that. I'll bet this album would be great to listen to on acid. "Magical Matrix Of Dimensional Continuum" is black metal with a lot of industrial sound FX, elements of grind but heavy with outer space synths. I think a good description of the sound of the Dutch metal band known as Dimensional Psychosis would be Bal-Sagoth meets Internal Suffering.
The overall production values of the album are perhaps a tad on the busy side -- too much going on at the same time with synths, guitars, drums and vocals stepping on each other a bit -- just a little on the sloppy side, but it all goes with the territory of being "Indefinable chaos metal." It sounds like Dimensional Psychosis ought to have a video or even an animated series to go with the music. There is definitely a story going on here worthy of making its way to the Sci-Fi channel.
