Depraved Murder - Manifestation
Depraved Murder’s “Manifestation” is a short, 29-minute, excursion into the absolute maddening, and twisted insanity that is the world of death metal. From the first note to the last, the listener is going to know the massive force of the band through influences and vibes ranging from Broken Hope, Suffocation, and Cannibal Corpse; to Carnifex Devourment and Despised Icon. . Even though the rhythm tends to be monotonous, the massive delivery of the material renders it nothing more than a minor flaw. The band is a precise and unrelenting death metal machine who’s sounds are auditorily paralyzing. There are no compromising fillers on this release, which is probably part of the reason for the short run time. When you have such a powerfully unforgiving release such as this, it’s best to just leave it alone and present it as it is rather than attempting to add a bunch of nonsense that serves no purpose but can hinder what a band is trying to do. Thankfully, Depraved Murder have applied this logic to their material
What else can be said about is band? Well, you will notice that this release isn’t all that technical, so it would appear that they have adopted the “brutality through simplicity” philosophy to their music and, judging by the tuning, tone of the instruments, and production values this was definitely the best way to go. These guys aren’t stepping on toes, they are stepping on necks! So, if you don’t want to be a casualty, then get the hell out of the way because the Depraved Murder are not to be taken lightly. Comatose Music did a fantastic job with this release. I look forward to hearing more from this band in the future.
