Decimation - Reign Of Ungodly Creation
Hailing from Turkey Decimation is a three piece death metal outfit. This being their third album, "Reign Of Ungodly Terror", is super fast, technical and relentless in every sense of the word.
Kicking off with the attack of 'Noncelestic Al Orisons....' it's made pretty clear this band aren't messing around, taking the best element's of Nile and Suffocation, the dark atmosphere and technicality of the riff's and the superb drumming of Goremaster (Gem Durson to his parent's!). 'Supreme Wisdom Of Blasphemy' starts of slow and atmospheric then picks up the pace only to return to the slow doom parts, it brings to mind one of Cannibal Corpse's slower tracks.
The album caries on taking different twist's and turn's taking all of death metal's different extremes. It does get a little repetitive at times and the band would benefit form letting their songs breath a bit more in the future, the constant bombardment can make you a little numb and some parts can pass you by as a result but that aside this is a solid slice of death metal and a stunning display of musicianship.
If you’re a fan of Behemoth, Suffocation and Nile and fancy digging a little deeper then the obvious death metal bands you won't go far wrong here.
