Cardiac Noose - Girl Named Misery
Cardiac Noose feature ex members of Lost Breed, the music style is quite similar but less doom orientated, more straight ahead rock n roll than anything else. ‘Girl Named Misery’, the song, sounds a little like classic 70’s rock, like Free, whilst ‘Lonely Man’ and ‘Thrill of it All’ could easily be something that both Mott the Hoople and Ace Frehley could have released based on the former’s classic material and the latter’s latest material, It’s straight ahead hard rock, easy flowing and very comfortable to listen too.
‘Get Back Home’ and ‘Rock n Roller’ featured on their last studio release ‘Get Back Home’ and whilst you listen to some of the tracks, some of the vocal phrasing, or rather the emotion conveyed within the vocal phrasing reminds me of some of Alice Cooper’s mid 70’s material. A classic and strong rock vibe certainly exists. As for the overall rating of this release, its rather simple so technicality does not feature too much, the tunes are arranged to please, it kind of rolls off the decks sort to speak.
Fans of band members previous bands will no doubt know this band and will enjoy this release, it is not too taxing and sounds nice with a classic rock vibe around the effort.
