Blood Red Throne – Souls Of Damnation

5th studio album for the Norwegian death metal war machine called Blood Red Throne. The band doesn’t need any presentation after 10 years of career, European tours and convincing albums: and the maniacs were waiting for this new opera will not be disappointed. Modern death metal, very well balanced by thash and black influences, perfectly produced and played. Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse and Vader in the same cage with the US thrash metal bands under an evil feeling always present. Furious blast parts and mosh rides run together to create a huge rhythmic wall where the headbanging is the only solution. But pay close attention not only to the power of this drummer, but also to one of the best bass player we can hear on a death metal album, amazingly technical and rightly protagonist. The winning point of this album is in my opinion the perfect equilibrium between “the old school” of riffs, atmospheres and many arrangements, and “the new way” to think about them, with this modern sharp sound and supported by an use of the technique near to the new forces of the virtuous brutal death. A great offer.
