Beneath - Enslaved By Fear
Oh yeah... Now you remember… It is that damn CD! All started to go wrong once you pushed the play button. But why man? What where you thinking? I mean… You saw that it was a Unique Leader release, didn't you? And of course you know that when you get a Unique Leader one, it is all about brutality and pain. You knew that didn't you? Well what you obviously didn't know is that "Enslaved By Fear" is Beneath's first full length, succeeding a demo of 2009 and an EP of 2010 that served the death metal audience with spine breaking rhythms and rib crushing blastbeats. Definitely not for the fainthearted! If you put to the add the bands will and lust to release their first full length, you can imagine the type of slaughter that begins once you push the play button! Tight blastbeats on top of non stop scull crashing riffs, and a solid bass line! The vocalist is a beast unleashed cursing lyrics in guttural and some times screaming mode!
The only thing I can say that makes this whole wrath go down a bit is some atmospheric parts here and there that some may find not that interesting for the type of death metal those murderers from Iceland want to play! But who gives a fuck? The way I see it it is a calm before the storm. A little game the murderer is playing to his victim until he shoves a rusty piece of iron in his bowels. This is how Beneath work. Their music can only be combined to the pain you get once you have a driller in your scull, after a great hangover and following a 42 Celcius fever condition. Now I am sure that if you knew all that my friend you wouldn't even bother listening to this death metal atrocity. Songs as 'Heretic', 'Monolith', 'Lies Of The Dead' and 'No One Above' are responsible for many head stomps as well as the main reason for the listener's head trauma. This is a debut album from a monster band only promising a colossal continuation of their era! Should be avoided like hell from the week and the gentle ones. Truly a badass.
