Agenda of Swine – Waves Of Human Suffering
Agenda of Swine, a band from the US, California. They formed in 2004, but they only released their debut album in 2008 and they named it, Waves of Human Suffering. This debut album is released through Relapse Records, so what is the music all about?
Agenda of Swine mixes grindcore with death- and thrash metal, the first two being the most abundant. This album contains 13 songs, short ones with only 2 which last longer than 3 minutes. These guys know what they are doing, you can allready hear it from the first listen. This album contains some quality riffing, mainly catchy and easy, but there are also more technical passages on this album. The songs are short, there’s no song that’s getting boring, no constantly repeating of riffs, just short but strong songs. The drumming on this album is good, nothing special, but it’s tight and supports the music very well. The vocals are very nice, to me it’s like a mixture of Slayer’s thrash vocals and grindcore vocals like Pig Destroyer’s, aggressive but maybe a little bit to monotonous. Furthermore this album has a neat production, but I can't hear no bass.
Bottom line, this is a great debut album and this will make many rounds in my CD player. Fans of grind and death metal, prepare for some neat metal which will get your head banging in no-time.
