Oppression hails from Sweden and is very active in thrash scene with regular releasing demos. Now in 2006 a new one is released under the State Of War name. With a new vocalist (already left the band) they play slightly different than usual. Tempo of the songs is screwed down abit. More headbanging mid tempo tunes with accelerations. Still the bass is pumping nice in front while the guitars are riffing the thrash strings with nicely leads. Maybe you think you heard it before in bands like Anthrax or Vio-Lence but this is oh so nice. Oppression keeps the bay area thrash alive and doing it very good. So go to their site and download the demo. Oh yeah and tell all your friends to do it and I will play it again with a nice cold beer!!
