Brazil is know for their metal bands, you have the traditional heavy metal but also the extreme ones. Beside the grind, black there is also a vivid scene of death metal. Ophiolatry is a band that can be found in the last catergory. Ophiolatry plays uncompromising brutal death metal with anti christian topics. Their anti christian and satanic attitude not only shows in wearing Tshirts with the text Fuck Jesus but also the tattooed pentagram on the forhead of Fabio! This caused in not be able to leave the country or visiting some. Anyway, "Transmutation" is their second full length and filled with bonebreakers. They are not giving you much air to gasp as it bulges on and on with some short instrumental interludes. But for the other hand the songs have a constant blast of double bass drums, gutteral voices and rancid guitars with crushing leads. For some this half hour is an assault but for those who like this it is jaw dropping. And I am with the last group...
