Maybe you remember the 80s when an UK ska band Madness had some hits like "Embaresment", "Our House" and "One Step Beyond"? If you don't remember you know where this Australian band get its name from. But what has this to do with metal? Everything ofcourse. One Step Beyond is not an ordinairy metal band but they put a lot of influences in their tunes. Even ska music rhythms are played, Madness remember? This is their second release after "Life Imitates Art" and again blending their extreme metal with funky bass licks (the bass has a prominent part in the songs), space oddity sounds, raw and growling vocals and rock melodic guitars. Because One Step Beyond is blending different styles the songs are not only for headbanging but also swinging/dancing is a possibility. "Beyond Good And Evil" is an out of the metal box album!
