Neurothing - Vanishing Celestial Bodies review by Mykke of DoomRadio.net exclusively for BRUTALISM.com This band combines the raw heavy groove of Pantera and the unpredictable and complex drum patterns of tech bands like Meshuggah. Neurothing are a hard-driving machine -- gut-wrenching guitar riffs, precision pummeling of the battery and fronted by an excellent style of gravel-throated growls with a few breaks of haunting and melodic singing. The lyrics deal with themes of being disconnected from onesself and living in a dysfunctional society. "Vanishing Celestial Bodies" was originally released in 2005 and re-released as a digi-pack in 2007 and available for download at the band website. This EP was self-produced and recorded at Laronermma Recording Institute and the end result is a very professional sound. It will be interesting to hear what this band sounds like now that they have replaced singer Jacek Chraplak with Fajfer.
