Formed in NorrtŠlje, Sweden, in 1995, Manegarm play viking, folk, metal. I can only assume the lyrics are based on viking mythology because they are in Swedish. So I cant understand a damn thing they are talking about. So I will have to inlist my buddy Joel (Immersed In Blood) to let me know what the hell I am singing to (poorly). With that fack aside, the over all feel, sound and cover art have reassured me these songs are about Norse Mythology. Death and Black Metal elements run through each song with a passion that few bands have accomplished. The cool thing is that you dont have to understand the lyrics to get into this record... proving once again that Music is a universal language.
