Legion of the Damned possess the fury of old-school thrash bands Destruction, Slayer and Exodus. We're talkin' kick-ass thrash metal that cuts you like a knife and leaves you bleeding to death. Save for one moment of acoustic intermission (track 6, "Seven Heads They Slumber") every track of "Sons Of The Jackal" slays you with razor-sharp riffing and precision pummeling rhythms, and violent angry vocals bite and infect you with vindictive venom.
Legion Of the Damned have actually been around since the early 90's when they were known as Occult and toured with Immortal and Marduk on the Sons Of Northern Darkness tour in 1994. So they aren't exactly newcomers to the scene.
"Sons Of The Jackal" is the follow up to "Malevolent Rapture" in 2006, which was the band's debut under the name Legion Of The Damned, and since then the band has shared the stage with thrash and death metal legends such as Destruction, Cannibal Corpse and Kataklysm. In 2007 LOTD are hitting several major metal festivals and they are touring across Europe with Kreator and Celtic Frost.
