From Belgium comes a band called In Chains, formed in 2004 by playing local shows. In 2006 they recorded a demo and after some line up changes they decided to record their debut.
"Demolition Business" is the 2008 release and contains 10 tracks in a mixture of thrash and death. Bands that comes to my mind are late Carcass and maybe a bit of Malevolent Creation. The vocals are sounding real dirty like Mike Amott but although it sounds angry it could use more variation. In mid paced tempo songs with breaks to faster passage with double bass blasts. The riffs they are producing are based on thrash metal and showing off with a few leads. Although the lead in the opening song is fucking great. Wish they did that in every song.
The atmosphere on the album is raw, dirty and ready to demolish. But it is not really breaking all down to the surface of the earth. The album opens strong with "Bleed On Me" but the further you come to "Thrashed Down" it is sounding much alike. There is simple to less variation that make some tracks stand out. Don't get me wrong, it is not bad and hearing a couple of songs is great pleasure but not the whole 32 minutes.
