The queen of Imperia is Helena Michaelsen and she was ofcourse the singer of Trail Of Tears. Helena is not only talented with beauty but she also has a very nice voice. She can sing with charm but she can also reach the higheropera regions. Musically the songs are written by Jan Yrlund (guitars) and Audun Gronnestad (orchestrations). The album kicks off with quick tempo songs with atmospheric keyboards and light orchestral touches. When she starts with the opera vocals it turns into a bombastic phase. Also the guitars are pickig an important part with melodic riffs and nice leads. Because Helena is more singing than opera yelling it is sounding more direct and for a bigger metal audience. And you also hear some black metal vocals in "Norway". Nice gothic, orchestral and atmospheric metal.
